You can transform a less than successful photo with software and make it semi-interesting.

You don't need to over saturate the *colours of your photos. Muted can be just fine, thank you very much. (Especially if you use "Photography Tip Number Three.")

There are some things that shouldn't be photographed.
I know you know what I mean. Think about the stream of endless photos on facebook and tumblr of your kids in various states of inebriation. "Please Johnny, don't post those photos of you having relations with our pet goat. I can guarnetee you that prospective employers or in-laws will not be impressed."
